The Business Owner's Guide to Creating a 90-Day Growth Plan

Big business goals can feel overwhelming.

"Increase revenue."

"Improve profitability."

"Build a better team."

"Work fewer hours."

These are worthwhile goals, but they don't tell you what to do tomorrow.

A 90-day plan turns larger goals into specific actions.

Step 1: Assess Where Your Business Is Today

Before deciding where you're going, understand your current position.

Review:

  • Revenue

  • Profitability

  • Customers

  • Leads

  • Sales conversion

  • Team performance

  • Owner workload

  • Business systems

This creates a starting point.

Step 2: Choose One to Three Major Priorities

Don't try to fix everything at once.

Choose the areas that could make the biggest difference over the next 90 days.

For example:

Priority 1: Improve sales conversion

Priority 2: Reduce owner involvement in operations

Priority 3: Improve team accountability

Step 3: Define Specific Goals

Make your goals measurable.

Instead of:

"Improve sales."

Try:

"Increase qualified lead conversion from X% to Y% over the next 90 days."

Specific goals make progress easier to track.

Step 4: Break Goals Into Weekly Actions

A 90-day goal becomes much easier to manage when broken into weekly activities.

Ask:

What needs to happen this week?

Then repeat that process every week.

Step 5: Assign Ownership

Every important action should have an owner.

If everyone is responsible, nobody may actually be accountable.

Assign specific responsibilities and deadlines.

Step 6: Review Progress Regularly

Don't wait until the end of the 90 days to see whether the plan worked.

Review progress weekly.

Ask:

  • What was completed?

  • What wasn't completed?

  • What's preventing progress?

  • What needs to change?

Step 7: Adjust When Necessary

A plan isn't meant to be permanent.

If the numbers or circumstances change, adjust the plan.

The purpose of a 90-day plan is to create focus and momentum.

Turn Strategy Into Action

Business growth rarely happens because of one huge decision.

It usually comes from consistently executing the right actions.

A 90-day plan gives your team a clear direction and gives you a way to measure progress.
